James Howard Baldwin, Sr., 76.
Born on December 6, 1895 in White Hall, IL to Clark and Elizabeth Baldwin. He married Bessie McClure on July 11, 1923 in Monticello, IL. They moved to Rapid City in 1933.
In 1935, he and others opened the Baken Park Tourist Park, which he ran until 1940.
In 1945, he and Bessie opened the Baldwin Hatchery and Refrigerated Lockers, which they operated until the early 1960's. He lived on Canyon Lake Drive at the time of his death. He was survived by his wife, Bess, and one son. Buried in the Pine Lawn Memorial Park.
