"I remember looking on my patio at the time on June 9, 1972 I was eating dinner and having barbecue when the weather got bad. I remember I saw cloud over Rapid City. Never moved and just rain and rain. They said at the time there low pressure front stay it didn't move from the area. They almost evacuated us from my Rapid City home on Brookside. Flood waters didn't make that far south side down on Jackson Blvd and Canyon Lake Park"
