Born on February 29, 1932 to Anthony and Mary Carter in Brooklyn, NY. Married Charlotte Engle on April 26, 1955 in Rapid City, SD.
At the time of his death, George was Captain of the Rapid City Fire Department. He perished during a rescue mission near Canyon Lake. He was survived by his wife, three daughters, his mother, and one brother. Buried in the Black Hills National Cemetery.
