She was a 1970 graduate of Stevens High School in Rapid City. She was survived by her parents, Gene Neal and Beverly Rossum Neal, and two sisters, Barbara and Susan, all of Rapid City. She was also survived by a brother, David Neal, of Rapid City. Cathy married Norvel Gall in 1971, who was the son of Theophoius and Alice Gall, who all also died in the flood. Norvel's sister, Rachel Winsel, and her daughter, Lisa, and son, Tracy, also perished in the flood.
