Description

Thomas P Doherty was born March March 3, 1954 in Minneaplis to Robert Doherty and Elenor Brown. He had just graduated from Robbinsdale High School in St Paul MN. Thomas was with five friends a the Miner Motel in Keystone when Battle Creek flooded.

He woke up water was coming into the cabin and he couldn't get the door open. The water was four or five feet deep. The young people all grabbed mattresses to float on but soon the cabin floated down stream and broke apart.

The three friends who survived were able to get a hold of stationary buildings to stop their swift float down Battle Creek. Three of them didn't.

Thomas is survived by his parents, brothers William and John and his grandmother Elsie Brown.
