Description

Lori J. Rawlins, 10. She perished with her mother and two sisters while camping near Keystone. She was survived by her father. Buried in the Fairview Cemetery, Dows, Iowa.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Arlene Rawlins and her three daughters, Brenda, Lori and Julie were held on Monday afternoon at two o,clock fron the First Lutheren Church in Dows.
The Rev. David A. Anderson officiated at the services and Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery. The Willim Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangments. The family died in the flood at Rapid City, South Dakita on Saturday morning, June 10, 1972.
Mrs. Rawlings was born Frances Arlene Rhodes on April 6, 1924 in Hardin County and was the daughter of Wayne and Ada Reece Rhodes. She lived in Union until 1930 when she moved to Dows where she has sinced resided.
Brenda Lea was born on August 17, 1960 at Clarion and would have been in the 7th grade at Dows Junior High School.
Lori Jean was born on August 21, 1961 at Clarion and would have been in the 6th grade at Dows School.
Julie Ann was born on March 13, 1964 at Iowa City and would have been in the 3rd grade at the Dows School.
The family belonged to the First Presbyterian Church of Dows.
Surviving are the Parents of Mrs. Rawlins, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Rhodes of Dows, her son Lawrence (Sarg) of Minneapolis and a sister, Mrs. T.K. (Doris) Skrovig of Dows.
